    March 10, 2020

To reduce the chances of coronavirus exposure, please do not report in person to the Pretrial Services office if you or anyone in your household are ill with an elevated temperature, cough, or respiratory symptoms. If you are experiencing these symptoms, please contact your Pretrial Services Officer immediately to arrange alternative reporting accommodations such as telephone, electronic or video reporting.  In the event you are unable to reach your supervision officer, please contact the Duty Officer at 503-326-8500.

  • About Pretrial Services

The U.S. Pretrial Services System carries out probation and pretrial services functions in the U.S. District courts. Through its officers and other employees, the system works to make the criminal justice process effective and the public safe.  Link to more info.

  • What is a pretrial hearing?

A pretrial hearing is a meeting that occurs before a trial action begins. These are generally attended by the plaintiff, defendant, the judge, the lawyers, and sometimes other parties. Pretrial hearings aim to resolve some of the legal issues before the trial begins.

  • Prison & Beyond

What is prison life like? How can I prepare for success after prison?  Questions like these can seem overwhelming.  U.S. Pretrial Services has created a seminar to help answer some of these questions.  Click here for more information.
